DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes‑based platforms for Avaloq Banking Systems. You will work with modern cloud technologies to ensure reliable, secure, and automated delivery of complex applications.

Key responsibilities

• Write, maintain, and execute Terraform modules for multi‑cloud infrastructure provisioning.
• Deploy, configure, and manage Avaloq containerized services on Kubernetes clusters (AKS, EKS, GKE, or self‑hosted).
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, or GitLab CI.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
• Ensure security best practices by managing secrets, service accounts, and network policies.
• Maintain version‑controlled, testable Infrastructure as Code.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps roles with a focus on Kubernetes deployments.
• Strong background in Terraform for infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Familiarity with Avaloq Banking Systems in Docker/Kubernetes environments.
• Ability to script automation tasks using Bash or Python.
