Development Engineer - Electronics (80-100%)

About the role

Belimo, a global market leader in field devices for the energy-efficient control of HVAC systems, is looking for a Development Engineer Electronics (80-100%) to join its Electronics Engineering team. You will help develop innovative electronics solutions for high-volume industrial products, design integrated power supply systems, use advanced simulation tools and work in a collaborative international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electronics for high-volume industrial products.
• Create innovative solutions for integrated power supply systems.
• Use simulation tools to validate concepts, designs and engineering decisions.
• Ensure high quality standards throughout the entire product development lifecycle.
• Support products from concept development through market launch.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering methods, tools and development practices.
• Contribute to the adoption of modern data-driven and AI-assisted engineering approaches.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (ETH, university or university of applied sciences).
• Several years of experience in electronics development within an industrial environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• High level of personal initiative and passion for innovation.
• Good communication skills in German and English.

Required skills

• Power electronics and analog/digital circuit design.
• Simulation tools such as LTspice, TINA and PLECS.
• Knowledge of systems engineering and control systems is an advantage.
