Food & Beverage Supervisor

About the role

The Food & Beverage Supervisor ensures that the dining operations run smoothly, delivering exceptional service to guests while leading a cohesive team. This full‑time position is based at The Ritz‑Carlton Hotel de la Paix in Geneva.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate staff to provide optimal service and meet guest needs.
• Inspect staff grooming, attire, and overall appearance, correcting any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment, and securing the venue.
• Maintain organized storage areas, enforce FIFO practices, and ensure cleanliness.
• Conduct inventories, stock supplies, and requisition necessary items.
• Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well‑being.
• Generate work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Uphold company safety, security, and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant food‑and‑beverage experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lb, standing for extended periods, and navigating confined spaces.
