Fund Tax Reporting Specialist / Manager

About the role

We are looking for a German‑speaking Fund Tax Reporting Specialist or Manager to join the asset‑management division of an international bank in Zurich. The role focuses on preparing and overseeing tax reports for private‑equity funds targeting investors in German‑speaking Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Preparation of tax reports for private equity funds for investors in German‑speaking Europe.
• Ad‑hoc handling of projects related to investor reporting.
• Assistance with ongoing tax cases for Switzerland, Germany and Austria and support with tax provisions.
• Support tax due‑diligence processes and tax structuring.
• Coordination of external service providers for tax reports (CRS, AEOI).
• Quality control of external law firms and service providers, review of tax returns, coordination of reporting procedures and database maintenance.
• Review operational tax methodology and conduct ongoing reviews of tax processes and internal controls.
• Monitor changes to DACH tax regulations and assess impact on fund business.
• Ensure compliance with risk procedures and implement new tax regulations.
• Contribute to department development, process and system improvements, and tax projects.
• Handle various ad‑hoc tax reporting projects for investors.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance or Taxation; further tax training advantageous.
• Experience in international tax law and German tax reporting from a bank, tax consultancy or audit firm.
• Knowledge of typical fund structures and distribution tax implications.
• Strong analytical, solution‑oriented mindset and ability to work independently with precision.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English.
• High reliability, strong sense of responsibility and ability to multitask and set priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
