GL & VAT Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a GL & VAT Accountant to join our finance team on a maternity cover basis for 6 to 8 months starting June 2026. The role is central to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with IFRS and group policies, and supporting our monthly reporting cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Perform GL reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Process accounting journals in line with IFRS and group policies.
• Participate in monthly consolidated reporting.
• Allocate costs in collaboration with the controlling team.
• Maintain standardized accounting procedures and guidelines.
• Control, review, and file indirect tax statements for 28 European countries.
• Respond to ad‑hoc queries from tax administrations.
• Support internal and external stakeholders on accounting and tax matters.

Required profile

• Finance or accounting bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience with IFRS and general ledger accounting.
• Familiarity with indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight reporting deadlines.
