Junior Marketing Communications Officer

About the role

The Knowledge Transfer Group at CERN is seeking a Junior Marketing Communications Officer to support its Marketing, Communications and Impact Section. You will help shape and deliver the group’s communication strategy for industry partners and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and maintaining the KT marketing and communications strategy.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and project reports on communication activities.
• Create and update marketing materials such as presentations, websites (WordPress), newsletters, posters, LinkedIn campaigns, brochures, and audiovisual content.
• Write science and technology news items and articles.
• Support events and website maintenance.
• Collect technical information on CERN technology projects, patents, licensing, startups and entrepreneurial activities.
• Manage multiple projects with differing timelines.

Required profile

• National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• Maximum two years of professional experience since graduation in Communication, Marketing, Social Science or a related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (no PhD, no prior CERN fellowship or graduate contract).
• Fluent written and spoken English; willingness to learn French.

What we offer

• Fixed‑term contract of 24 months, extendable up to 36 months.
• Hybrid work model (onsite and remote).
• Monthly stipend of 5,266–5,793 CHF (tax‑free).
• Target start date 1 October 2026 (or earlier).
