Legal Counsel

About the role

EMSEMS, a global leader in medical and dental device manufacturing, is looking for a Legal Counsel to manage a wide range of legal matters. The role focuses on drafting and negotiating contracts under Swiss law, providing legal advice to internal teams, supporting corporate and employment issues, ensuring data‑protection compliance, and coordinating litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements (supply, loan, research, collaboration, speaker, consulting, service agreements, NDAs) primarily governed by Swiss law.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice to internal departments and translate legal constraints into workable solutions.
• Support corporate housekeeping for the parent company and international affiliates, including incorporation and structuring of new entities.
• Advise HR on employment law matters and assist with policy drafting and risk assessment.
• Assist the Data Protection Officer with data‑protection queries and documentation.
• Handle Swiss‑law disputes, coordinate external counsel, and manage litigation costs.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in Swiss law and commercial contract drafting.
• Ability to support corporate, employment, data‑protection and litigation matters across an international organization.
