Managing Director – Fintech

About the role

This confidential search seeks a Managing Director to lead a high‑growth fintech business operating at the intersection of regulated financial infrastructure and next‑generation digital payments and asset technology. Based in Zurich, the role offers full commercial and operational ownership of the Swiss entity with regional and international reach.

Key responsibilities

• Full P&L accountability and strategic leadership of the Swiss entity.
• Drive revenue growth across institutional payments, digital‑asset services, crypto infrastructure, stablecoin solutions and related product lines.
• Build and lead senior teams across commercial, product, operations, risk and compliance functions.
• Maintain primary relationships with banking partners, payment‑scheme operators, regulators and institutional clients across Switzerland and Europe.
• Navigate Swiss regulatory frameworks (FINMA, banking licence requirements, evolving digital‑asset rules).
• Define go‑to‑market strategy and commercial positioning for institutional crypto, corporate treasury, cross‑border payments and digital‑asset custody.
• Represent the firm at industry events, media, investor meetings and within the European fintech community.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience (MD, CEO, Country Head or equivalent) within payments, crypto, digital assets or fintech infrastructure.
• Deep domain knowledge of one or more areas such as payment rails, stablecoin infrastructure, digital‑asset custody, institutional crypto services, cross‑border payments or blockchain‑based solutions.
• Proven ability to manage regulated or fast‑scaling businesses and to build high‑performing senior teams.
• Strong track record of commercial growth and P&L responsibility.
