Regional Tax Analyst

About the role

The Regional Tax Analyst supports Group‑wide tax reporting, compliance and risk management across multiple jurisdictions. Working closely with Group Finance, local markets, auditors and external advisers, the role ensures accurate tax positions, disclosures and Effective Tax Rate (ETR) forecasting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate interim and year‑end Group tax reporting in collaboration with finance teams, auditors and external advisers.
• Act as the regional point of contact between local markets and Group Tax, ensuring consistent application of tax policies and control frameworks.
• Support design and operation of tax accounting controls and documentation for internal and external audits, including provision workpapers and uncertain tax position analyses.
• Track regional tax audits, disputes and exposures, and ensure audit outcomes are reflected in tax reporting and provisions.
• Lead technical tax accounting for Group Reporting and maintain IAS 12 knowledge.
• Drive process improvements, standardisation and automation of tax reporting, working with Finance and IT on ERP tools such as SAP.
• Prepare tax reporting packs, dashboards and management presentations for senior stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in group tax reporting and financial close cycles.
• Strong understanding of tax accounting controls, internal audit documentation and uncertain tax position analysis.
• Ability to coordinate tax audits, disputes and risk assessments across several jurisdictions.

Required skills

• IAS 12 (International Accounting Standard 12) knowledge.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP and related tax technology tools.
• Experience preparing tax provision workpapers and deferred tax support schedules.
