Part‑time Head of Talent Acquisition (Hybrid, Bern)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Head of Talent Acquisition to lead end‑to‑end recruitment for our conference‑related positions, volunteers and partner engagements. Based in Bern, the role combines on‑site presence for key meetings with remote work for sourcing and coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Define role requirements together with conference organizers and draft inclusive job postings.
• Source candidates through multiple channels and manage the full interview and selection process.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline of academic, industry and student participants supporting conference operations.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and promote INTERACT’s employer brand within research and engineering communities.
• Coordinate hiring timelines, keep accurate candidate records and ensure a fair, transparent process.
• Support onboarding of selected contributors and assist with volunteer coordination during events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end hiring and recruiting, including role profiling and selection management.
• Strong interviewing skills with a focus on fair and consistent competency assessment.
• Background in employer branding and experience attracting talent to events or academic settings.
• Experience in graduate or early‑career recruitment, preferably in academic or conference environments.
• Knowledge of HR best practices, non‑discriminatory recruitment and inclusive hiring.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities across academic, industry and volunteer groups.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as German or French are a plus.
