Senior Actuarial Analyst (Economic Modelling & Statistics)

About the role

Join Zurich Switzerland’s Life business unit to shape economic valuation and financial reporting. You will combine actuarial expertise with economic modelling, data analytics and automation to deliver insights that support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance economic valuation models in PROPHET for Life Insurance Switzerland.
• Deliver, review and challenge actuarial metrics for IFRS 17 and SST, ensuring accurate and timely results.
• Translate complex actuarial analyses into clear insights and recommendations for senior management.
• Lead and contribute to key actuarial projects, initiatives and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Improve and automate actuarial processes and models using SQL, PROPHET, Python and R.

Required profile

• University degree in actuarial science, mathematics, physics or a comparable quantitative field.
• Fully or nearly qualified actuary (SAA/SAV or equivalent) with relevant professional experience.
• Strong experience in developing, maintaining and critically reviewing actuarial models and financial metrics.
• Strong technical and analytical capabilities with modelling, data and automation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with fluency in English.
