Senior Business Development – German‑Speaking Switzerland

About the role

Degroof Petercam Asset Management is expanding its Swiss Institutional Sales team and seeks a senior professional to drive new business and nurture existing relationships in the German‑speaking region of Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new institutional business opportunities across Switzerland.
• Act as the primary contact for existing institutional clients, ensuring delivery of DPAM investment solutions that match client objectives.
• Prepare and coordinate tenders, gathering input from internal stakeholders to produce compelling proposals.
• Create portfolio and investment presentations, including performance reports, asset allocation and market views, for client meetings.
• Maintain a prospection logbook, ensure data quality in the client relationship database, and generate ideas to enhance service and brand awareness.
• Stay informed on financial market regulations and collaborate with internal departments (Fund Management, Reporting, Compliance, Legal, Middle Office, RFP, etc.).
• Participate in DPAM internal investment committees and team meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in economics or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager or similar role within the financial sector (asset management, banking, insurance).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in German and English; Swiss German and French are a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset, detail‑oriented and client‑service focused.
• Autonomous, team‑oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
