Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

This senior‑level position is based in Switzerland and focuses on leading the transformation of CI/CD and automation practices across multiple engineering teams. You will own the design, implementation and standardisation of delivery pipelines, driving reliability, scalability and operational excellence in a modern, technology‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and standardise CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery efficiency, reliability and scalability.
• Establish development workflows, branching strategies, quality gates and release‑management standards.
• Drive continuous integration and deployment initiatives, enhancing build validation, release automation and early defect detection.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) to create repeatable, consistent environments.
• Promote containerisation and modern deployment practices to increase portability and operational efficiency.
• Assess current DevOps maturity and lead initiatives to reduce manual processes and increase automation adoption.
• Integrate code‑quality, testing and validation tools into development workflows.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to identify optimisation opportunities.

Required profile

• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering or related infrastructure roles.
• Proven track record of leading CI/CD transformation and implementing scalable automation strategies.
• Experience working in low‑maturity DevOps environments and driving standardisation.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, branching strategies, code review processes and merge governance.
