Senior Tax Manager EUCAN

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Manager for the EUCAN region to join our Global Tax team in Zurich. You will be responsible for overseeing tax positions across multiple European countries, including Eastern Europe, and acting as a trusted advisor to both local finance teams and global tax leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate tax audits with authorities at federal, regional and local levels.
• Supervise tax accounting, compliance, litigation and transfer‑pricing matters.
• Provide tax advice to finance, legal, supply‑chain, HR and business development partners.
• Serve as a bridge between global tax functional leads and the regional Finance Business Solutions Hub.
• Ensure transparent communication with tax authorities and manage corporate income tax compliance.
• Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks across the region.
• Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation that impact the business.
• Coordinate transfer‑pricing documentation and adjustments in collaboration with the Transfer Pricing team.
• Review contracts and business initiatives from a tax perspective.

Required profile

• University degree in accounting, finance or law; master’s degree in Economics, Finance or Law with a tax specialization.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a Big 4 advisory firm.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and fiscal frameworks in EU and Eastern European countries.
• Comprehensive understanding of accounting for income tax.
