Tax Specialist – UCITS Funds

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to support the asset management division of an international Swiss bank. The role focuses on UCITS and other investment fund structures, ensuring tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions and providing strategic advice to investment professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support investment teams and manage tax projects (FATCA/CRS) from legal, regulatory, operational and project‑management perspectives.
• Advise product developers and managers on tax implications of new fund structures and transactions.
• Assist with tax work for investment funds and private‑market vehicles, addressing investor needs.
• Monitor cross‑border tax matters and coordinate with international fund competence centres.
• Review fund documentation for various structures and ensure alignment with tax regulations.
• Coordinate tax projects with external consultants and oversee tax performance.
• Conduct trainings on tax, investment, law and compliance topics.
• Research legal and regulatory requirements and liaise with authorities.

Required profile

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Tax, Law or related field (MBA or law school considered an advantage).
• Professional experience as a tax lawyer, tax consultant, Big‑Four advisor, or in‑house tax role within large investment funds or banks.
• Strong knowledge of investment‑fund regulations (UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID) and FATCA/CRS requirements.
• Familiarity with traditional and alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent in English and German.
