AI Automation Specialist (Marketing background)

About the role

This position offers a unique blend of marketing expertise and technical automation skills. You will design and optimise AI‑driven marketing systems for fast‑growing e‑commerce, subscription and food & beverage brands, working remotely in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain AI‑powered marketing automation workflows across multiple brands and channels.
• Build scalable systems for content generation, reporting, customer insights, email marketing and operational efficiency using automation platforms and AI tools.
• Manage and optimise SEO initiatives, including keyword research, metadata improvements, internal linking and competitor analysis.
• Support local SEO by handling business listings, citations, FAQs and location‑based optimisation.
• Develop and improve lifecycle email campaigns such as welcome flows, abandoned‑cart sequences, post‑purchase communication, segmentation and retention.
• Monitor automation systems, troubleshoot workflow issues and continuously enhance reliability, scalability and performance.
• Analyse funnel performance and campaign metrics to provide actionable business insights and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with marketing and technical stakeholders to rapidly implement and iterate solutions.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in marketing automation, workflow optimisation or systems development within digital marketing.
• Hands‑on expertise with automation platforms such as Make (Integromat), Zapier or n8n.
• Practical experience building AI‑driven workflows using tools like Claude or ChatGPT.
• Strong understanding of SEO, organic growth strategies, email marketing automation and e‑commerce ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Ahrefs, Klaviyo, Google Analytics (GA4), Search Console, Shopify and related marketing technologies.
• Ability to independently build, manage, troubleshoot and optimise automation systems and API integrations.
