About the role
Monolithic Power Systems is seeking an Applications Engineering Intern to join its sensor division in Tolochenaz, Switzerland. You will work with a small, dynamic team on the latest generations of angular position and 3D magnetic sensors, gaining exposure to both hardware and software development.
Key responsibilities
- Design and build measurement setups for characterising angle, 3D and current sensors.
- Create printed circuit board schematics, layouts and oversee assembly.
- Develop firmware for various microcontrollers.
- Write software for automated measurements using C and Python.
- Manage measurement campaigns and data collection.
Required profile
- Student currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Master or Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering (EPF or HES).
- Passionate about technology, eager to learn new skills and comfortable working in a team.
- Good communication skills in English (French optional) and ability to write technical documentation.
Required skills
- Familiarity with electronic design and PCB design tools (Altium or KiCad).
- Firmware development experience in C and C++.
- Software development experience in Python.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical CAD (SolidWorks) and workshop skills.
