Associate Programme Officer – Making Trade Happen (Temporary)

About the role

The International Trade Centre is seeking an Associate Programme Officer to support the Making Trade Happen (MTH) project within the Sector and Enterprise Competitiveness Section. The role focuses on building SME capacity to export to the UK market under the DCTS and EPAs, addressing ESG, SPS and Rules of Origin compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Work with key clients to develop, implement and evaluate assigned programmes and projects.
• Monitor and analyse programme progress, review documents and reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct basic research, collect, analyse and present statistical data from diverse sources.
• Provide substantive support for policy coordination, emerging issue analysis and evaluation activities.
• Assist in consulting assignments, plan and facilitate workshops, and help develop client action plans.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree (e.g., international trade, development, economics).
• Experience in programme/project implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
• Ability to conduct research and analyse statistical data.
• Experience supporting policy coordination and evaluation functions.
• Proven skill in facilitating workshops and consulting assignments with multiple stakeholders.
