Backend Engineer - Developer Experience

About the role

Frontify is looking for a Backend Engineer to join its Developer Experience team. You will help shape a scalable, high‑impact platform that enables external developers to extend Frontify’s brand‑management product. The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Switzerland or on‑site in St. Gallen.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement hyperscaling solutions for third‑party integrations.
• Build and refine clear, scalable API interfaces and service communication layers.
• Collaborate with product, design and engineering teams to create efficient contracts and interfaces.
• Maintain and improve existing solutions, proactively identifying and fixing issues.
• Partner with product management throughout the discovery‑to‑delivery cycle.
• Coach and mentor fellow engineers through pair programming, code reviews and knowledge sharing.

• Ability to make architectural decisions and drive technical excellence at scale.
