About the role
The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) will act as the Bank’s second line of defence, ensuring that all activities comply with Swiss and international regulations, supervisory expectations and internal policies. Reporting directly to the management body, the CCO safeguards the interests of the Bank, its Group, employees, customers, shareholders and the wider community.
Key responsibilities
- Define and implement the Bank’s compliance strategy, covering conduct, customer protection, regulatory compliance, anti‑money‑laundering and terrorism‑financing prevention, and reputational risk.
- Establish control and oversight mechanisms to integrate compliance risk information in line with the Bank’s risk appetite and Group principles.
- Manage the adoption and implementation of corporate Conduct & Compliance (C&C) policies, models, guidelines and control tools.
- Advise the management body on legal and regulatory changes, initiate corporate projects to align the Bank with new requirements, and provide guidance to senior management on compliance responsibilities.
- Promote a robust compliance management and control environment, conduct periodic assessments, identify improvement opportunities and drive action plans.
- Serve as the primary compliance liaison with regulators, supervisors, auditors and Group stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in Swiss regulatory compliance and international private banking.
- Deep knowledge of cross‑border wealth‑management activities, including exposure to Latin American, European and Middle Eastern markets.
- Proven ability to lead a compliance function at a senior executive level.
- Strong analytical and advisory skills to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
