Cloud Security Architect

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Cloud Security Architect to join Avaloq’s Cloud Architecture team. The role blends cloud architecture, security engineering, automation and DevSecOps to design and protect next‑generation cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, govern and evolve secure cloud architectures for SaaS, PaaS and internal platforms.
• Define and maintain cloud security standards, reusable patterns, reference architectures and security blueprints.
• Embed security‑by‑design principles into landing zones, tenancy structures, network segmentation, identity models and cloud guardrails.
• Drive Zero Trust, least‑privilege and defense‑in‑depth strategies across the cloud landscape.
• Integrate security controls and compliance requirements into CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure‑as‑Code and automation frameworks.
• Lead or support security assessments, threat modelling, risk analysis and architecture reviews.
• Provide architectural guidance for network security and connectivity designs across internal, SaaS and PaaS environments.
• Collaborate with Network Architecture to define enterprise network standards and reusable patterns.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, IT or related field.
• Minimum 5 years experience as an IT Security Architect or Cloud Security Architect.
• Proven experience designing enterprise cloud architectures, preferably on OCI.
• Experience with cloud network architecture, risk assessments, threat modelling and security‑by‑design methodologies.

Required skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) design and governance.
• Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or OpenTofu.
• CI/CD pipeline automation, GitOps and Policy‑as‑Code.
