Contract Manufacturing Specialist

About the role

Roche is looking for a Contract Manufacturing Specialist to lead global CMO operations for clinical drug labeling, packaging and device assembly. You will manage outsourced portfolios, negotiate supply agreements and ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery of clinical supplies worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary Site Manager for clinical packaging outsourced to Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) across the network.
• Drive CMO onboarding, communication and project timelines while maintaining cost and quality standards.
• Partner with Procurement to run RFPs, negotiate supply agreements and lead Supplier Relationship Management activities.
• Define supply strategies for non‑standard products and own variable cost budgeting for CMO projects.
• Manage pre‑ and post‑production packaging orders in SAP, issue purchase orders, review invoices and ensure financial alignment.
• Define, monitor and report CMO performance metrics and represent the function in global cross‑functional processes.

Required profile

• BA/BS degree in Supply Chain, Business or a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in pharma, clinical supply chain or contract manufacturing.
• Proven project‑management expertise (APICS, PMP or Lean/Six Sigma certifications are a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills in a global matrix environment.
