Corporate Procurement Specialist (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Corporate Procurement Specialist to support the development, communication and implementation of global and corporate procurement strategies for an engineering client. The role focuses on indirect materials and services, risk management, supply base management, quality and sustainability, working from Zürich with a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Support the creation and rollout of corporate procurement strategies across business functions.
• Drive improvement initiatives in indirect services, risk management and supplier base management.
• Ensure compliance and maintenance of assigned procurement activities and global initiatives.
• Develop and implement global procurement strategies for indirect materials, services, risk, quality and sustainability.
• Run eRFx processes for professional services such as HR, Marketing, Consulting, Finance and Legal.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to align procurement with business goals.
• Execute procurement strategy implementation in close partnership with category teams.

Required profile

• Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Strong background in indirect procurement.
• Proven ability to influence and engage senior‑level stakeholders, including C‑suite executives.
• Experience building strategic relationships across organisations and navigating complex structures.
• Track record of managing multiple procurement initiatives from conception to closure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive‑level discussions.
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate complex procurement concepts.
• Fluent English is mandatory.
