Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer within the Cartier Data Office, you will design and maintain the data and BI infrastructure that powers analytics and machine‑learning initiatives across the company. You will work with a young, dynamic team to deliver scalable pipelines, high‑performance dashboards, and self‑service analytics for business users.

Key responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Looker dashboards and explores, translating business questions into actionable insights.
• Design and implement dbt models and dimensional data marts, applying version control and testing best practices.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Airflow or Apache Composer to ingest data into BigQuery.
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and enforce data governance and access controls.
• Document data definitions and lineage to keep Looker as the single source of truth.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related scientific field.
• 3–5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, Agile/DevOps environment and deliver features quickly.

• Looker (LookML) or PowerBI
• SQL and dbt
