Data Governance Consultant – Strategy & Hands‑On (FR/EN)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Governance Consultant who bridges strategy and execution. Working closely with Chief Data Officers and business stakeholders, you will design, implement and operationalise data governance frameworks for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and roll‑out data governance policies, processes and ownership models aligned with business objectives.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data steward roles, data lifecycle rules and compliance requirements.
• Deploy and configure governance tools such as data catalogs (e.g., Collibra, Alation), MDM solutions and data‑quality platforms.
• Conduct hands‑on data profiling, quality checks and issue‑resolution activities.
• Support evaluation, selection and change‑management of data‑management platforms.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, nFADP) through proper documentation and controls.
• Promote a data‑driven culture by delivering training, creating documentation and fostering adoption of governance practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience in data governance or data management, preferably in consulting or large organisations.
• Strong analytical, communication and facilitation abilities.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Data‑governance or data‑management certification (e.g., CDMP, DGSP) is a plus.

• Knowledge of GDPR and nFADP regulations.
