Desktop Support Technician – Bilingual (French/English)

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a bilingual Desktop Support Technician to join its Swiss team. You will provide on‑site technical assistance to end users, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network resources.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on deskside support for desktops, laptops, printers, handheld devices, and audio/video equipment.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems.
• Resolve issues with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Create and manage user accounts, Exchange mailboxes, and distribution lists in Active Directory.
• Provide remote assistance using tools such as SMS, Bomgar, Webex, and Windows native utilities.
• Support mobile devices (BlackBerry, Android, iOS) and handle escalations through ITSM tools like ServiceNow.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on deskside or onsite IT support experience.
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Understanding of ITIL processes and experience with ServiceNow or similar platforms.

Required skills

• Windows 7 & Windows 10 installation and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
• Active Directory and Exchange administration.
• Remote desktop tools (SMS, Bomgar, Webex, Live Meeting).
• Mobile device support (BlackBerry, Android, iOS).
• Audio/Video equipment setup for conference rooms.
• A+ certification or equivalent.
