Director of Intellectual Property

About the role

As Director of Intellectual Property you will join the Legal team of Ahold Delhaize Licensing SàrL (ALICE) in Geneva. You will be responsible for the centralized management and coordination of the group’s IP assets, with a strong focus on trademarks.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full IP portfolio, including development, enhancement, maintenance, protection and exploitation of company‑owned IP.
• Maintain accurate data on IP development, registration and protection in an IP database.
• Lead regular meetings with stakeholders across the Ahold Delhaize Group and provide support on IP matters.
• Evaluate compliance of IP assets with internal policies and report findings.
• Coordinate Swiss corporate legal aspects and non‑IP agreements with external counsel.
• Plan and oversee budget, review sales figures and allocate royalties.
• Develop and maintain global IP legal policies aligned with finance and treasury processes.
• Manage the local IP team and ensure timely reporting to the ALICE Management Team and Board.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in law with a specialization in intellectual property, or equivalent legal experience in IP with an emphasis on trademarks.
• Proven experience managing IP portfolios in a multinational environment.
• Strong understanding of Swiss corporate law and international IP regulations.
