Director of Sourcing

About the role

The Director of Sourcing will lead a global supply‑chain function from Switzerland, shaping and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiency, supplier excellence, and resilient supply continuity. This senior leadership position partners with manufacturing, quality, marketing and operations to enable business growth and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with corporate objectives, including supplier development, geographic sourcing models and risk mitigation.
• Oversee supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contract execution, ensuring robust commercial and service‑level agreements.
• Manage supplier performance frameworks—scorecards, business reviews, escalations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate supplier audits with Quality and cross‑functional teams, driving timely resolution of findings.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Marketing and Operations to support product launches, material availability and production readiness.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing sourcing team, fostering a culture of accountability, ethics and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain leadership within complex international environments.
• Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation and strategic sourcing development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead supplier performance programs, audits and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong cross‑functional collaboration experience with Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Finance and Operations.
• People‑leadership experience including coaching, team development and performance management.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of procurement systems, ERP tools and supplier‑management platforms.
• Advanced analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
