Editor, CFMCA Flagship Guide Update & Companion Website

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) seeks an experienced editor to lead the update of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action (CFMCA) flagship guide and its companion website. This remote consultancy, lasting approximately 8.5 months, will deliver a fully edited, publication‑ready package aligned with UNEP’s style guide.

Key responsibilities

• Produce a cohesive, edited version of all guide and website content, incorporating tracked changes.
• Provide a concise editorial note summarising any unresolved queries.
• Ensure the final product respects the distinct identity of each release while adhering to the project style guide.
• Coordinate with the project lead and over 25 institutional contributors to resolve content issues.
• Deliver the edited material in time for staggered releases linked to major global events (autumn 2026 – spring 2027).

Required profile

• Proven experience in editing and publishing complex policy or technical documents.
• Familiarity with climate finance, environmental policy, or related sectors.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Excellent written English communication skills.
