Elixir Back End Developer – Remote

About the role

We are a fast‑growing startup preparing for a Series A round and need an experienced Elixir back‑end developer to own the design and delivery of high‑performance services. You will join a small, agile team and work remotely to build production‑grade APIs, workers and event‑driven pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain Elixir‑based APIs, background jobs and workers using OTP, Phoenix and Ecto.
• Build reliable, high‑throughput systems and optimise database performance.
• Integrate internal and external services, queues and event‑driven pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, front‑end and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Own delivery from architecture and coding to deployment, monitoring and scaling.

Required profile

• 5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 2 years focused on Elixir.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience building high‑performance, production‑grade systems.
• Familiarity with AWS services and serverless concepts.
