EMSR / Electrical Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

Syngenta is seeking an EMSR / Electrical Engineer for its multipurpose production site in Muttenz. You will plan and execute investment projects related to electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring cost, schedule, quality and functionality meet company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set EMSRT standards for capital and local engineering projects.
• Provide technical leadership for EMSRT across the site.
• Define standards for electrical, pneumatic instrumentation and sensors.
• Guide installation and design for local engineering and CAPEX projects.
• Conduct smaller CAPEX and OPEX projects on site.
• Evaluate existing equipment and develop scope‑cost‑requirements for new installations.
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware malfunctions, including SIS hardware and fieldbus systems.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related discipline.
• Several years of professional experience in an industrial environment, preferably agro‑chemical or process industry.
• Project management experience and ability to lead external resources.
• Strong understanding of maintenance principles, change management and HSE compliance.
• High level of German and conversational English.
• Willingness to work in a chemical production environment.

• Siemens control systems.
• SIS hardware knowledge.
• Fieldbus systems (Profibus, HART, Foundation Fieldbus).
• COMOS (advantage).
