Finance Manager – Accounting & Automation

About the role

IWG Switzerland is seeking a Finance Manager to own the Swiss accounting cycle and transform routine data compilation into actionable financial insight. The role emphasizes the use of AI and automation to redesign and streamline accounting and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the month‑end process end‑to‑end, including full P&L ownership and timely close across Swiss entities.
• Enter, check and post invoices, payments and complex accounting transactions in compliance with standards and deadlines.
• Perform bank reconciliations and execute monthly, quarterly and annual closings on a fixed timetable.
• Prepare trial balances, support group consolidation, and reconcile intercompany balances.
• Maintain the chart of accounts, accounting procedures and fixed‑asset records with a full audit trail.
• Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements and conduct variance analysis.
• Conduct regular balance‑sheet reviews and move reporting from mere compilation to insightful analysis.
• Produce clean inputs for management dashboards and quarterly Board packs, flagging deviations early with corrective recommendations.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to ensure integrity and timeliness of accounting records.
• Experience managing the full accounting cycle and month‑end close.
• Strong inclination to treat automation as a first instinct, continuously eliminating manual work.
• Proactive in delivering accurate financial information for management and Board reporting.
