Financial Accountant – Full Time

About the role

Julius Baer is looking for a Financial Accountant to manage accounting and reporting for both domestic and international entities. You will ensure accurate financial statements, support corporate activities and drive process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements, business reports and VAT returns in line with local regulations.
• Ensure compliance with internal control systems and contribute to the implementation of IFRS and other accounting regulations.
• Perform analytical reviews of balance‑sheet and income‑statement positions and support group (IFRS) and local statutory reporting.
• Collaborate with Group Tax, Management Accounting, IT and Payroll, and assist with entity setup, acquisitions and liquidations.
• Drive SAP‑related initiatives (R/3, S/4HANA), provide technical accounting support and participate in system testing.

Required profile

• Swiss Certified Accountant or a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and proficiency in German and English (written and spoken).
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and a collaborative, proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA (advantageous).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting standards.
