Financial Business Controller – Africa Region

About the role

MSC is seeking a Financial Business Controller for its Africa region to join the Group Controlling department. Based in Geneva, you will work closely with the Regional CFO and local agencies to provide financial insight, improve working capital, and support strategic decisions across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Improve working capital management and identify revenue and cost optimisation opportunities.
• Perform cost‑control activities and review weekly/monthly financial reporting.
• Assist the Regional CFO with daily management of assigned countries and coordinate country visits.
• Monitor foreign‑exchange exposure and conduct ad‑hoc global analyses in collaboration with other regional teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling, audit, FP&A or similar roles.
• Mandatory experience in shipping or logistics.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking mindset, result‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English; French is a plus.
