Financial Business Controller – Asia & Middle East

About the role

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company is seeking a Financial Business Controller to support its Asia and Middle East region. Based in Geneva, you will join the Group Controlling department and work closely with the Regional CFO to provide financial insight, drive cost optimisation and support strategic decisions across the assigned countries.

Key responsibilities

• Improve working capital management and monitor cash flow.
• Analyse revenue and cost structures to identify optimisation opportunities.
• Perform cost‑control activities and ensure accurate financial reporting on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Assist the Regional CFO with daily management tasks, including organising country visits.
• Review foreign‑exchange exposure and support hedging strategies.
• Lead ad‑hoc global analyses in collaboration with other regional teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, controlling, audit or financial planning and analysis.
• Previous experience in shipping or logistics is mandatory.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure, self‑starter attitude and proactive approach.
• Excellent written and spoken English; additional language is a plus.
