Full Stack Developer – Angular & Java

About the role

Medartis is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join its Digital Solutions team in Basel. You will work on a modern web platform for innovative medical‑technology applications, integrating AI coding agents into the development workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable Java web APIs using Spring Boot.
• Build modern web applications with Angular, TypeScript and WebGL/3D technologies.
• Translate business and clinical requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Integrate AI‑assisted development tools, review generated code and implement guardrails, tests and review practices.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical direction across complex distributed systems.
• Ensure high quality and security through unit testing, automated end‑to‑end testing and code reviews.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and drive continuous improvement of products and engineering practices.

Required profile

• University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a comparable field.
• Solid experience with Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern web technologies (HTML, CSS/SCSS).
• Hands‑on experience with Angular and preferably WebGL or other 3D technologies.
• Analytical, structured and solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to translate clinical and business needs into technical solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in an interdisciplinary environment.
• Fluent in English or German, both spoken and written.
