Generalist AI Trainer (Remote, Freelance)

About the role

Lightly AG, a Zurich‑based AI startup, is looking for motivated Generalist AI Trainers to help improve the quality of its machine‑learning models. This is a part‑time freelance position that can be performed remotely, with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Review and rate AI‑generated responses for accuracy, relevance and helpfulness.
• Write prompts, questions and example conversations to guide model training.
• Compare pairs of AI outputs and select the better one based on defined criteria.
• Follow detailed instructions to complete structured evaluation tasks.
• Flag problematic or incorrect outputs and provide clear explanations.
• Conduct occasional research to verify factual correctness of AI answers.

Required profile

• Excellent written English with the ability to articulate reasoning clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent judgment across repetitive tasks.
• Self‑motivated, able to manage time independently and meet deadlines.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous problems.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
• Availability for at least 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
