GFANZ Team Coordinator – Africa (Consultant)

About the role

The United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) is seeking a consultant to serve as the GFANZ Team Coordinator for its Africa network. Working remotely, the coordinator will support the administrative, management, liaison and communication functions that enable the network to plan and accelerate sustainable finance activities across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate quarterly advisory board and working‑group meetings, ensuring efficient scheduling and follow‑up.
• Manage communications between the Advisory Board Chair, Regional Director, technical team and other stakeholders.
• Support timely delivery of project outcomes and monitor the impact of network activities.
• Oversee cost‑effective organization of events and workshops with measurable results.
• Maintain documentation, reporting and liaison with the broader UNEP FI climate teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience coordinating multi‑stakeholder meetings or advisory boards.
• Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with sustainable finance, climate initiatives and the objectives of the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero (GFANZ).
• Ability to manage schedules, documentation and event logistics efficiently.
