Global Legal Counsel

About the role

GC International AG is seeking a Global Legal Counsel to join its headquarters in Lucerne. You will act as a trusted legal partner for the business, supporting international operations across multiple jurisdictions and reporting directly to the General Counsel.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements (sales, procurement, services, distribution).
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders and translate legal risks into business‑oriented recommendations.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of scalable contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes.
• Partner with HQ functions such as Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and R&D on legal matters.
• Contribute to the development of a global legal organization across EMEA, Americas, APAC, and Japan.
• Participate in cross‑functional legal transformation projects, including legal‑tech tools and CLM systems.
• Develop and maintain global compliance frameworks (anti‑bribery, data protection, corporate governance).
• Advise on GDPR and data‑privacy issues and support related training initiatives.
• Coordinate and manage external legal advisors.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contract law and international legal matters.
• Proven ability to advise business units on legal risks and compliance requirements.
• Experience working in a multinational environment and handling cross‑border legal projects.
