Group Patent Counsel (Geneva)

About the role

Verisure is looking for a dynamic Group Patent Counsel to join its fast‑growing Legal team in Geneva. The role supports technology and business leaders in protecting, defending and leveraging Verisure’s technical intellectual property across a multinational, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of Verisure technologies and collaborate closely with Technology and Procurement teams.
• Support invention harvesting, disclosure processes and work with R&D throughout the innovation lifecycle.
• Prepare, file and prosecute patent, utility model and design applications, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
• Conduct freedom‑to‑operate assessments, manage IP infringement and validity analyses, and oversee enforcement actions.
• Manage global IP portfolios, patent watches, and deliver training to foster an IP‑aware culture.

Required profile

• Qualified patent attorney, preferably with European Patent Attorney status and a national patent qualification.
• 3‑5 years post‑qualification experience in a multinational company or law firm, dealing with complex hardware‑software‑connectivity systems.
• Proven ability to advise business stakeholders on IP strategy and to handle cross‑functional projects.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
