Head of Controlling – Power Electronics

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Head of Controlling – Power Electronics to lead the finance function for its Power Electronics business unit. The role translates business unit and global strategy into clear, actionable business plans, ensures alignment across units, and owns the full planning and forecasting cycle. It also monitors performance against targets, analyses variances, and drives timely corrective actions while strengthening the finance organization.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute to the definition of the Power Electronics business strategy and act as the key partner for the Business Manager.
• Translate strategy into business plans, set measurable targets, and oversee the business planning and forecasting process.
• Monitor progress, provide insight and analysis for operational decision‑making, and drive cost discipline, productivity, and capital efficiency.
• Assess business risk exposure, define mitigation strategies, and ensure consistent implementation of risk management processes.
• Lead cross‑functional initiatives that support strategic goals and drive continuous improvement of financial control processes.
• Provide guidance and facilitate best‑practice sharing between units and local controllers to ensure alignment and consistency.
