Head of Finance – Automotive

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Head of Finance to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing international automotive company. This senior position combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, acting as a key business partner to senior management while building a high‑performing local finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, reporting and analysis.
• Deliver accurate, timely financial statements in line with local Swiss and international standards.
• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Drive profitability analysis, cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives.
• Recruit, develop and scale a finance team aligned with the company’s growth ambitions.
• Implement and continuously improve financial processes, controls and reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with Swiss regulatory, tax and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with international stakeholders and headquarters on financial planning and performance management.
• Support business growth projects, investments and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field.
• Extensive senior finance leadership experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong knowledge of the Swiss automotive market and its financial dynamics.
• Proven track record in financial planning, controlling, reporting and business partnering.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead finance teams in growing organisations.
• Hands‑on mentality with both strategic and operational capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, commercial and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in international, multicultural environments.
• Fluent in German and English; additional European languages a plus.
