Head of Goodwill Ambassador & Celebrity Engagement

About the role

The Head of Goodwill Ambassador and Celebrity Engagement will lead IOM’s strategic outreach to goodwill ambassadors and high‑profile personalities. Reporting to the Director General through the Private Sector Partnerships Division, the role supports IOM’s mission to promote humane and orderly migration by leveraging influential partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage the goodwill ambassador programme, identifying and engaging ambassadors aligned with IOM’s values.
• Design and execute celebrity engagement strategies to raise awareness of migration issues.
• Build and maintain partnerships with private‑sector organisations, NGOs, and media to amplify IOM’s messages.
• Represent IOM at international events, conferences and media appearances.
• Coordinate with internal divisions to ensure alignment of outreach activities with strategic priorities.
• Oversee the planning and delivery of high‑visibility campaigns and events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, public relations or communications, preferably within an international or humanitarian context.
• Demonstrated ability to work with high‑profile individuals and manage public‑facing initiatives.
• Strong understanding of migration challenges and the UN system.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and intercultural communication skills.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
