Head of Trading

About the role

Crypto Finance Group, part of Deutsche Börse Group, is seeking a Head of Trading to lead its FINMA‑licensed trading desk in Zurich. You will be responsible for pricing, execution, risk management and client relationships across digital asset spot and derivatives markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of traders, ensuring reliable execution of client flow across spot and derivatives.
• Own the trading product’s P&L, pricing, platform roadmap and client experience.
• Configure and continuously improve the proprietary spot order and execution management system, including spread, skew, quoting and hedging.
• Manage market risk, inventory, hedging limits and escalation processes.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships with liquidity providers, exchanges and prime brokers.
• Represent the trading function to institutional clients, partners and senior stakeholders.
• Define and execute the strategic direction of the trading function, adding new products, venues and order types.
• Develop and mentor traders, handling performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven track record leading a trading desk or senior desk seat with people responsibility in a regulated financial institution.
• Hands‑on experience in electronic trading and OTC flow trading within regulated markets.
• Ability to meet FINMA fit‑and‑proper standards with a clean regulatory record.
• Full professional proficiency in English; willingness to relocate to Switzerland.
