Hospital & Physician Services Specialist – Weekends (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time, weekend‑only position supports the imaging department of Raleigh Radiology remotely. The Hospital and Physician Services Specialist acts as the primary liaison between radiologists, hospital staff and external medical facilities, ensuring smooth daily operations and timely communication of critical findings.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and organize patient records, retrieve prior images and reports for radiologist review.
• Enter and update patient demographics, exam details and radiology findings in the RIS and PACS.
• Collaborate with technologists, radiologists and support staff to guarantee that all imaging studies are available for interpretation.
• Monitor and manage the daily flow of studies, assigning them promptly to radiologists.
• Answer incoming calls within three rings, assist referring physicians and route calls appropriately.
• Ensure imaging studies are correctly ordered, linked and documented.
• Track RIS, Clario and other hospital systems to identify and resolve issues or delays, especially STAT cases.
• Support the lung‑screening program and manage the radiologist hotline as the WithinHealth Care Coordinator.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clinicians, patients and internal teams.
• Ability to meet productivity and performance benchmarks consistently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Radiology Information System (RIS).
• Experience using Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Familiarity with Clario or similar hospital imaging platforms.
