HR Support Specialist – Onboarding & Offboarding

About the role

Julius Baer is seeking a service‑driven HR Support Specialist to join its HR Support Services team in Zurich. The role focuses on the administrative onboarding and offboarding of employees across German‑speaking Switzerland, ensuring smooth transitions and accurate employee data management.

Key responsibilities

• Issue employment contracts, collect background‑screening data and answer new‑joiner HR queries.
• Provide offboarding documentation, work certificates and guidance to departing employees and line managers.
• Maintain complete and correct employee records, payroll information and personnel files.
• Act as the first point of contact for everyday HR matters such as benefits, absence, working time and personal changes.
• Support the broader HR team with general administrative tasks and continuously improve HR tools and processes.

Required profile

• Completed commercial apprenticeship; HR‑specific education (e.g., HR Assistant) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a similar HR role, preferably within the financial sector.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
• Strong communicator, trustworthy, discreet and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with the Workday HR system.
