Intellectual Property Paralegal – Global Enforcement

About the role

As an Intellectual Property Paralegal you will support Chanel’s global IP protection and enforcement activities, focusing on both online and offline enforcement across multiple jurisdictions. Reporting to a Senior Intellectual Property Counsel, you will work from our Geneva office and collaborate with local, regional and global IP teams as well as external lawyers and investigators.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate customs seizures with authorities and external partners.
• Manage online monitoring and takedown programmes across marketplaces, social media and websites.
• Assist investigations into infringing activities and supply‑chain violations.
• Prepare and follow up on cease‑and‑desist letters.
• Support infringement, opposition and cancellation matters, including pre‑action research and document preparation.
• Monitor infringement trends and leverage technology tools for reporting and analysis.
• Handle filings, prosecution, maintenance and recordal of trademarks, designs and domain names, including correspondence with trademark offices and WIPO.
• Conduct trademark clearance searches and provide concise risk analysis.
• Maintain IP database records, ensuring accurate data entry and rigorous deadline management.
• Prepare documentation and evidence for enforcement and portfolio matters.
• Stay informed on enforcement practices, emerging technologies and relevant legal frameworks.
