International Technical Consultant on ESG and Value Chain Due Diligence

About the role
The International Trade Centre seeks an experienced International Technical Consultant to lead ESG and value‑chain due‑diligence activities across multiple regions. The role is home‑based with occasional travel to project sites in Africa and Asia, supporting cooperatives and MSMEs in meeting sustainability requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver in‑depth training and coaching to selected cooperatives and MSMEs in Uganda, Honduras, DRC, Ghana, Ethiopia and other ACP countries according to capacity‑building plans.
- Conduct readiness assessments for ASEAN cooperatives and MSMEs and develop individual action plans.
- Perform readiness assessments for RBC Africa countries and review action plans.
- Provide inputs for ASEAN cohort presentations and create customized capacity‑building materials.
- Accompany and monitor performance indicators for all companies and cohorts, preparing presentations and written updates for coordination meetings and partner engagements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in ESG assessment, sustainable value‑chain analysis, and due‑diligence for SMEs.
- Familiarity with the Alliances for Action (A4A) methodology and capacity‑building in developing‑country contexts.
- Ability to work independently from a home office while managing travel to project locations.
- Strong communication skills for reporting to technical personnel and international partners.
