Investment Director

About the role

The private investment firm in Zurich seeks an experienced Investment & Corporate Finance Director to lead direct investments, corporate transactions and financing activities. The role offers broad exposure from opportunity evaluation to execution, working closely with senior decision‑makers in an entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate investment and transaction opportunities from initial review through execution.
• Build financial models, valuations and investment cases.
• Prepare investment recommendations and present to senior stakeholders.
• Support M&A, capital raising and broader financing processes.
• Lead due‑diligence workstreams and coordinate with management teams and external advisers.
• Assess capital structures and financing alternatives across equity and debt.
• Build and maintain relationships with companies, investors, advisers and other transaction partners.

Required profile

• 7+ years total experience in investment banking followed by private equity, growth equity, direct investing or similar buy‑side environment.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and transaction execution skills.
• Deep understanding of both equity and debt financing.
• Ability to form independent views and communicate them clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English and German.
