IT Consultant – ASYCUDA System Support

About the role
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is seeking a remote IT Consultant to support the mapping of the new ASYCUDA platform to regional requirements. The assignment runs from 15 August 2026 to 15 December 2026 and reports to the UNCTAD ASYCUDA Regional Coordinator for Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, upgrade, enhance and support assigned ASYCUDA system components.
- Assist with deployment, configuration and release management of ASYCUDA software.
- Create additional features for the ASYREC environment.
- Develop back‑end extensions for ASYCUDA modules.
- Facilitate data exchange and ensure interoperability with related systems.
- Support testing of new modules and perform other technical tasks as required.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in ICT programming.
- Experience in an ICT unit of a governmental agency or international organization is an advantage.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Required skills
- ASYCUDA system knowledge.
- ASYREC environment familiarity.
- Software deployment and configuration management.
